The Ontario newsletter, Stir, is published quarterly-ish (in concert with work in the 'field') and membership in the Society includes a subscription. The newsletter is a sampling of the stew of bd conversation carefully selected from sources local and abroad..The slow cooker is always on... inviting you to add your submissions to the mix ; ingredients are being sampled on a regular basis, but only once per season it is stirred to print (please refer to submission deadlines on the web-site or past newsletter). You may consider your contributions, when they make it to the table, like a dish you bring to a pot-luck,… posted to all partakers. We encourage you to give us feedback on what Stirs you, what didn't, and what might ; too spicy or not enough? ( it is this editor’s intention that the newsletter arrives on your table well-seasoned )

Submissions might include:

  • One-time submissions
  • 'Column' submissions or suggestions
  • Articles by others
  • Art work
  • Comic strips
  • Letters to the editor (feedback on what you see or don’t see in STIR; if I’m not ‘ploughing a straight enough line’)
  • Book reviews
  • Dedications
  • Cork board / Classifieds ( wanted ? share use of ? or for sale/ donation items? ;eg farms, machinery, books, services etc. )
  • Upcoming events / reports on past events
  • Aprentice opportunities
